YOUTH and young adults
Youth is considered 6th through 12th Grade, and Young Adults ages 18-25. Activities for youth and young adults have been incorporated into the overall programming of Regional Assembly, and recommended workshops are listed below. In addition, all participating youth and young adults are invited (and encouraged!) to assist leaders from the UNITE Conference in leading worship on Saturday morning, Oct. 20 (see below). Saturday morning worship rehearsal will start at 7:45 am in the FCC Fullerton sanctuary.
All youth participants are required to be registered for this event and have a health/release form filled out. Click here to register online. Once the release form has been downloaded (from below), email the completed form to email@example.com. Food arrangements and hotel accommodations are to be organized by parents/chaperones/youth leaders by registering young people through the Regional Assembly Registration Page. When registering Youth and Young Adults for Regional Assembly, we suggest selecting the following workshops which are geared toward the inclusion of young people:
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19
Young Adults are recommended to select morning and afternoon workshop topics that interest them most.
Friday Evening Options for Youth & Young Adults:
LASER QUEST GAME – 7:00pm
229 E Orangethorpe Ave, Fullerton, CA 92832
All youth (12-18) and Young Adults (18-25) are invited to duke it out in a friendly game of laser tag. Cost is only $10 and includes two games. Please bring cash with you to the event.
Following Laser Quest, participants will head to First Christian Church of Fullerton for snacks, games, and rehearsal for Regional Assembly worship (Saturday) beginning at 9:00pm.
Friday evening activities for Youth & Young Adults will end at 10:30 pm.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20
Recommended Saturday Workshop Options for Youth & Young Adults:
Morning Session – “Multigenerational Conversations – What Does a Courageous Church Look Like?”
Afternoon Session – “Table Talks – Debrief and Brainstorm Panel Discussion”
Saturday activities for Youth and Young Adults begins at 7:45 am (rehearsal in the sanctuary) and concludes after final worship (which begins at 4:30 pm).
WORSHIP LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY – Join other young adults and youth from across the PSWR at 8:00am Saturday morning to lead opening worship for the entire assembly. No previous rehearsals are required. We will meet together in the sanctuary at FCC Fullerton for assignments and quick run-thru at 7:45 am.
