Anti-Racism/Pro Reconciliation
Committee
of the Pacific Southwest
Region
Vision Statement:
The Pacific Southwest Region of the Christian
Church (Disciples of Christ) will be a transforming, anti-racist, inter-generational
institution:
-
where the biblical and spiritual mandates
of inclusiveness drive our actions;
-
where brothers and sisters of all races, cultures
and languages share fully in the leadership of the region;
-
where active efforts are undertaken to attack
the sin of racism within our communities and partnerships;
-
where regular evaluations and analyses are
made, and;
-
where all have a place at the table and none
shall be turned away.
Goals and Objectives
1. The AR/PR team will conduct a power analysis of the PSW Region.
2. The AR/PR team will develop a process and resources for congregations
to become anti-racist multi-cultural churches.
3. The AR/PR team will establish an active anti-racist/pro-reconciling
presence in the Region.
4. The AR/PR team will continue to nurture and develop team life.
